The study on the currents of the Dunkirk EMR study area corresponds to a characterisation of the tidal currents encountered on the sector from new knowledge gained through the measurement campaigns carried out in 2016. Different elements emerged from this study:
— results of statistical analysis of measurements for different immersions (current roses at coefficients 45 and 95, every hour around the open sea of the reference port),
— qualification of the 3D model of the Pas-de-Calais tidal currents at the geographical points of the measurements (comparison table),
— the product “tide currents” on the study area (digital files for 3 layers).

F0542 corresponds to anchoring AWAC_1 (51° 10.118′N/002° 24.633′E) and F0544 at anchoring AWAC_2 (51° 11,581′N/002° 24,244′E)

The product “Tide currents 3D — EMR Dunkirk” comes from the digital model Pas de Calais, Baie de Somme. This model is an adaptation of the calculation code TELEMAC-3D, developed by the Saint-Venant hydraulic laboratory, in order to simulate the propagation of the tidal wave for two tide coefficients 45 and 95.
