The study of swell in the Dunkirk EMR study area corresponds to the modelling and study of sea states in the area. Following the implementation and validation of the sea state model in the period 2005-2016, a statistical and spatial analysis is presented. The model results files are provided.
The final report “Modelisation and Study of Sea State in the Dunkirk MMR Area” (6 April 2017) describes the sea state play using the WAVEWATCH III Spectral Spectral Model over the period 2005-2016. In-depth validation was conducted by comparison with measurements by altimeter satellites, observations collected by CANDHIS (CEREMA) wave buoys, and wave buoys deployed on the study area.
Model results are presented in NetCDF4 format. The final report is in pdf format.
