The Natural Environments of France (ECOMOS). The ECOMOS layer is the result of a synthesis of the European approach to studying natural environments (CORINE Land Cover) and the regional approach to monitoring land use and the evolution of urbanisation
(MOS).The Ecomos database had a first version detailing the state of play in 2000. This base, created to complete the land use base in Île-de-France “Mos” was very developed in urban posts, but very little on the “natural” posts.
