Landscape units of the Atlas of landscapes of Orne — Normandy

The territory of Normandy had until now two works of knowledge of landscapes, carried out on the perimeter of the two ex-regions. The atlas of the landscapes of Upper Normandy was carried out in 2011, while the inventory of the landscapes of Lower Normandy was published in 2001, updating it as a matter of priority. To ensure consistency, it was decided to launch this update with a view to creating an atlas of Normandy’s landscapes. That is why the department of Orne has set up a pilot department to develop the method of updating. The update included assessing the evolution of landscapes over the past 20 years and thus identifying the challenges involved.
