The objective of the multi-annual regional forest development plan (PRDF) is to increase the economic value of timber by improving its production and increasing its mobilisation.
respecting the principles of sustainable and multi-functional forest management. These
principles are defined by Article L. 121-1 of the Forestry Code: “forest policy is a matter of
the jurisdiction of the State. Its guidelines, financing and investments are in line with
in the long run. Its purpose is to ensure the sustainable management of wood and forests. It takes into account their economic, ecological and social functions (...) It tends to satisfy social demands relating to the forest.
The Multiannual Regional Forest Development Plan (PPRDF) of Limousin was approved by Order No. 2014-101 signed by the Prefect of the Region on 26 June 2014.
