Local Flood Risk Management Strategies (LDRMS) — Normandy

The local flood risk management strategy aims to achieve the objectives of reducing the negative consequences of floods on IRRs and beyond the perimeter of the strategy. It is a continuation of ongoing approaches by complementing or strengthening existing flood risk management arrangements, without replacing them, thus providing a reference framework to prevent flood risk. The scopes of action of local strategies include at least areas with high flood risk (TRI), but may be broader to manage risk at relevant scales (watershed, submersion cell, etc.). The perimeters, the main objectives of the local strategies and their time frame were decided by the Basin Coordinating Prefects in 2014.
