The dataset contains the position of markers and floods in Lorraine. An attribute contains a link to a web page that describes the marker or flood mark.
* Flood lead: ephemeral trace left by water during a flood that gives information about the water level reached.
* Flood marker: brand made by man to materialise the level reached by a flood (painting, metal plate, sealed macaron, engraved inscription, etc.). .
The data, derived from a database developed and powered by the North East Navigation Service, are located within the jurisdiction of the seine and relate to the following rivers: Moselle, Meuse, Meurthe, Vezouze. Floods ranged from 1740 to 2006.
