Map visualisation service (WMS) of the dataset: Hydrometric station in Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur (DREAL PACA)

The DREAL PACA operates a network of hydrometric stations whose objective is the general knowledge of watercourses. A hydrometric station is an apparatus installed on a watercourse from which a hydrometric quantity (usually water heights, flow velocities) is measured to allow the measurement of changes in stream levels and the continuous assessment of the flow rate. The data collected over a large number of years make it possible to know the stream (crues, low) at the measuring station and to extrapolate to the sites not monitored.
