Map visualisation service (WMS) of the dataset: Strategic noise maps type C over 24 hours from Charente

Polygons of areas exceeding the 24H weighted average noise exposure limit values of Charente land transport infrastructure expressed in Lden. Weighting of the Lden indicator of the average sound level: 12 hours of day (6am — 5pm); 4 hours of evening (5 p.m. — 10 p.m.) with an increase of 5 dB; 8 hours of night (22h — 6h) with an increase of 10 dB. These increases are representative of the discomfort experienced during these periods. This zoning (CEEMA data aggregated by DDT Charente) is derived from a calculation method that gives approximate values and often higher than reality. In situ noise control can precisely determine the sound level to which a construction and its occupants may be exposed.
