Le 1er niveau classifie les zones de façon générique, en les classant en terres artificialisées, terres agricoles, forêts et milieux semi-naturels, surface en eau. Les 2eme et 3eme niveau permettent d'affiner cette classification. Les documents permettant de disposer de la nomenclature complète et de la méthodologie appliquée, sont disponibles.
