Type 2 Wildlife and Florist Ecological Interest Natural Areas
A ZNIEFF is defined by the scientific identification of a sector of the national territory of particular ecological interest. All of these sectors thus constitute an inventory of exceptional or representative natural areas.
Type II areas are large natural settlements (forestry, valley, plateau, estuary...) rich and unmodified, or which offer significant biological potential. In these areas, it is important to respect the broad ecological balances, taking into account, inter alia, the vital domain of sedentary or migratory wildlife.
