Dataset description
This dataset contains the Eolian Development Zones (EDZ), surface objects, on the perimeter of the New Aquitaine region.
In order to allow for a harmonious development of wind energy in France (notably by opposing the risk of damping landscapes), the legislator established the Eolien Development Zones (ZDE) under the authority of mayors or presidents of intercommunities.
The creation of an ZDE is now an essential condition for a wind project to emerge in France. Since 14 July 2007, every new wind project must be carried out in a ZDE in order to be eligible for the repurchase of its electricity production at this tariff.
