Dataset description

This dataset contains the location of counting points describing the traffic of the unlicensed motorway network, national and departmental networks in the New Aquitaine region for the years 2011 to 2015, year N being 2015. These data are collected from the General Councils, for the departmental network and the Inter-departmental Directorates of Roads, for the national road network and the unlicensed motorway network. For each metering station, the annual Medium Daily Traffic (TMJA), when available over several years, is available for all vehicles (Light Vehicles and Weight-Lourds) and the percentage of heavy goods vehicles for the years in question. Subject to availability, there are also percentages of annual traffic trends and percentages of heavy goods vehicles, compared to the same figures from previous years. Counting stations can be of 3 types: Permanent counter: the vehicle flow rate per direction and the rate of heavy goods vehicles are measured every day of the year 24 hours a day. Rotating counter: traffic is measured over 4 periods of one week during the year. Punctual counter: traffic is measured over a period (usually one week) as part of a specific demand.
