Dataset description
This layer presents the river lines occupied or potentially occupied by the Otter of Europe.
It is based on the raw presence data available in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes LPO database (to which the Mammologique d’Auvergne Group contributes) and the layer of the IGN hydrographic network.
Portions of streams within a radius of 5 km around known presence data are retained as occupied or potentially occupied.
The fields are as follows
• FID: unique identifier
• ID: unique identifier
• toponym: name of watercourse (if existing)
• candidate: watercourse name (tbc)
• class:
• length: length of the section in metre
