Status of coastline surveys in November 2021, on the Awala-Yalimapo sector. Surveys carried out by the Observatoire de la Dynamique Côtière de Guyane. The coastline is defined as the boundary between the top of the beach and the rear beach. This limit can be materialised by:
the foot of the microfalaise if an erosion front is present;
the foot of the layout if a work is present;
the vegetation limit and/or the sea lead limit.
The expected acquisition frequency of the Coastal Dynamics Observatory is annual, around October (dry season).
