Dataset description

landscape, natural, agricultural and hydraulic wealth provides the territory with biodiversity and support for the Green and Blue Trame, which the Dunkirk Urban Community undertakes, through the development of this Plan Vert — Plan Bleu, to protect and enhance. This is part of the search for a balance between the various environmental issues present in our territory. In 2007, 29 natural areas were registered under the Flanders Dunkirk SCoT, representing a total of 3,500 hectares, or 1/8th of the CUD area for approximately 200,000 inhabitants. The implementation of this “Great Green Spaces” policy meets to date the 5 general objectives of the SCoT: Objective 1: protect urbanised areas near the industrial-port area and the A16 Objective 2: increase the biodiversity of our territory (objective included in the Community project and the Climate Plan) Objective 3: recomposing a landscape (especially within the port perimeter and the city/port interfaces) Objective 4: increase the offer of outdoor recreation Objective 5: developing the tourism offer URBAN PARKS: these are neighbourhood recreational areas with an area of 1 to 10 ha serving a population of approximately 5-10 000 inhabitants; examples: — The Estran at GRAND FORT PHILIPPE;- The Parc des Châteaux in BOURBOURG;- The Jacobsen Park in SAINT POL SUR MER; — The Parc du Canal des Moëres in TETEGHEM. In addition, non-SCoT parks are carried out within the framework of Community urban policies (Z.A.C. and land project) such as the Parks of the Courghain, the Tourelles, the Crayhof, etc.
