Product Vegetation index of Brittany

The vegetation index product provides you with a continuous quantification of vegetation in your territory. This vegetation index called NDVI (normalised difference vegetation index) reflects the activity of plant cutlery. It has theoretical values between -1 and 1. Plant cover has positive NDVI values, usually between 0.2 and 0.4 for shrubs and meadows, and up to 1 for dense deciduous forests. Mineral surfaces have a NDVI close to 0. Negative values correspond to surfaces such as snow, water or clouds. Monitor your territories with recent images of a few days or weeks depending on the presence of clouds. These images provided by the European Earth Observation Program Copernicus are updated daily. This service is technically promoted and monitored by the Teledetection Business Centre and the GIS Bretel.
