Regional Pedological Reference of Limousin (RRP) — Landscapes

The RRP programme has made it possible, on the basis of acquired field data and analysis of paedologists, to produce a regional map of child landscapes. The Soil Cartographic Units (UCS) determined in the context of the study are called “pedolandscapes”. This type of unit combines topographic, geomorphological, hydrological and soil approaches, as well as components resulting from human use (parcellar, soil occupation, etc.). These units are therefore soil associations whose spatial organisation, interactions, nature and behaviour are characteristic. SCUs generally include several types of soil: soil Typological Units (UTS). To date, 333 UCS have been defined in the Limousin region.
