Dataset description

The Risk Prevention Plans (P.P.R) codified in Articles L562-1 to L562-7 and R562-1 et seq. of the Environmental Code, relating to the prevention of foreseeable natural hazards, the implementation of which is governed by Decree No 95-1089 of 5 October 1995, constitute one of the tools for the implementation of the State policy on flood prevention, which was redefined in the Interministerial Committee of 24 January 1994. This legislative and regulatory framework was supplemented by the law of 30 July 2003 (later on the date of approval of the Saint-Raphaël PPRI). The Plan for the Prevention of Natural Flood Risks in the commune of Saint Raphael, linked to the presence of the rivers Garonne, Peyron, Pédegal and Agay, was approved by prefectural decree of 20 November 2000. A regulation shall apply referring to prohibition and/or prescription measures depending on the different mapped areas. Two hydraulic studies were used as the basis for the definition of hazard: (one conducted on the Garonne, Peyron and Pédégal basins in 1996 and corrected in 1998), the other conducted on the Agay River watershed in 1996). As a result, a paper-based mapping was provided. This hazard allowed, following the application of a constructibility grid, to determine a digitalised regulatory zoning that was reported on a background IGN1998©EDR 25. A separate mapinfo table existed for each type of zoning: R1, R2, B1 and B2. These 4 tables were then merged to create a single table.
