The “Remarkable Heritage Sites” (SPR) replace the safeguarded sectors, the ZPPAUPs and the AVAPs: they are classified (or enlarged) by the State after a public inquiry and consultation with the local authorities. Remarkable heritage sites concern cities, villages or neighbourhoods and their landscapes and rural areas whose conservation, restoration, rehabilitation or enhancement presents, from the historical, architectural, archaeological, artistic or landscape point of view, a public interest.
The protected areas, the ZPPAUPs (but with the restoration of the vicinity of historic monuments beyond the perimeter of the RPS) and approved AVAPs are automatically classified as “Remarkable Heritage Site”. The same applies to AVAPs under study when they are approved. ZPPAUP and AVAP can be modified but not revised.
Remarkable heritage sites have a PSMV and/or an architectural and heritage enhancement plan (PVAP, “super” AVAP, although the need for the environmental component has been removed).
These sites generate the AC4 easement generator.
