Le réseau des rues départementales compte 344 kilomètres environ. Il regroupe les anciennes rues départementales et les ex-routes nationales, issues du transfert de 2007 (loi n° 2004-809 du 13 août 2004 relative aux libertés et responsabilités locales). Ce référentiel contient des informations attributaires non exhaustives, relatives au réseau des rues à grande circulation, aux aménagements cyclables départementaux et aux convois exceptionnels.
