Dataset description

The data set contains the data corresponding to the Regional Ecological Coherence Scheme (SRCE) of Lorraine adopted by prefectoral decree on 20 November 2015. The Green and Blue Trame (TVB) is a step taken by the Grenelle of the Environment which aims to halt the loss of biodiversity by contributing to the preservation, management and restoration of the environment necessary for ecological continuity, while taking into account human activities, particularly agricultural activities, in rural areas (Article L.371-1 of the Code of the Environment). The Green and Blue Trame is the ecological network made up of terrestrial and aquatic ecological continuity identified through planning or project approaches at each relevant territorial scale. It is a tool for sustainable spatial planning. The ecological continuity of the Green and Blue Trame includes biodiversity reservoirs and ecological corridors. The Green and Blue Trame contributes to the favourable conservation status of natural habitats and species and to the good ecological status of water bodies. It should enable animal and plant species to move to ensure their life cycle and adaptability. The Regional Ecological Coherence Scheme (SRCE) is the regional component of a national project from the Grenelle de l’environnement which aims to implement the Green and Blue Trame. It is a framework document whose main purpose is the preservation and restoration of ecological continuity. Its drafting is co-piloted by the Lorraine Region and the State and contains, in accordance with Article L371-3 of the Code de l’Environnement, the following documents: — A non-technical summary. — A diagnosis of the regional territory and a presentation of the issues relating to the preservation and restoration of ecological continuity at the regional level (Volume 1). — A component presenting the ecological continuity chosen to form the Regional Green and Blue Trame and identifying the biodiversity reservoirs and the corridors they include (Volume 2). — A strategic action plan accompanied by a monitoring mechanism based on indicators to enable the evaluation of the implementation of the scheme and the results achieved (Volume 3). — A cartographic atlas, including a mapping of the Green Trame and the Blue Trame on the scale of 1/100,000 (Volume 4). All documents related to the CERS are available for free download on srce.lorraine.eu As part of the development of the Lorraine CERS, the following data were produced: the data of the Regional Green and Blue Trame: biodiversity reservoirs, ecological corridors, permeability zones, continuums, barriers (see Volume 2 of the CERS and Annex 3 attached for the technical specifications for the design of these data). The use of GIS data from Green and Blue Trame must be limited to 1/100 000th
