Dataset description

This data standard contains a set of semantic and technical specifications necessary to standardise geographical data relating to the reception of Travellers.Act No. 2000-614 of 5 July 2000 provides for the implementation in each department of a Traveller reception system. This law has a twofold objective:? on the one hand, to ensure the free movement of goods and persons and thus to meet the aspirations of travelling travellers to stay in places of residence in decent conditions, on the other hand, to respond to the legitimate concern of local elected representatives to avoid illegal parkings which cause difficulties of coexistence with their residents. The MEDDE is responsible for implementing this policy for the reception of Travellers which is considered a problem of local housing policy by the Act of 5 July 2000 and by Act No. 2006-872 of 13 July 2006 on the national commitment. “In each department, in the light of a prior assessment of the needs and the existing supply, including the frequency and duration of traveller stays, the possibilities of children’s schooling, access to care and the exercise of economic activities, a departmental scheme provides for the geographical areas of the permanent reception areas and the municipalities where they are to be carried out.”This standard model and describes the traveller reception areas and departmental traveller accommodation schemes (SDAGV). It covers land developed for the stay or passage of Travellers that are carried out by a community. Some of them are subsidised by the State. The standardised data here meet the following needs:1. Monitor the progress of the AGVS, i.e. to know its objectives and achievements2. To know the accommodation facilities for Travellers in a given department by characterising all the areas realised by the communities.3. Locating the physical grip of each reception areaTravellers’ reception areas are mainly characterised by their geographical location and capacity. Host area management data are not processed in this standard (they fall within the competence of local and regional authorities).
