Zoning consisting of all urban displacement plan perimeters under development or approved. A PDU is a planning document that defines the general principles of transport of goods and persons, traffic (all modes) and parking in the urban transport perimeter (PTU). Its objective is to reduce car traffic with a view to improving air quality and reducing noise-related nuisances. It is compulsory for agglomerations with more than 100,000 inhabitants.
The PDU covers all modes of travel involving travellers or goods:
— motor vehicles (light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles)
— urban public transport and within the perimeter interurban transport
— two wheels
— pedestrians
The PDU also sets out parking principles to be included in the LLUs. It is drawn up by the Urban Transport Organising Authority (AOTU) and approved after consultation of associated public persons, municipalities and groupings of municipalities concerned, followed by a public inquiry.
Only PDUs that are being developed or validated are included in these data. DU procedures cancelled prior to completion are excluded.
