Contours of existing biological reserves (created by ministerial decree) or projects which have received the favourable opinion of the CNPN (National Council for the Protection of Nature) but still awaiting their establishment order.
In Integral Biological Reserves (RBI), any human intervention likely to alter the environment is prohibited: the purpose of these reserves is to study the natural evolution of the ecosystem. In Directed Biological Reserves (RBDs), management is oriented towards the protection of species or habitats with high heritage value.
