For natural PPRs, the Environmental Code defines two categories of zones (L562-1): risk-exposed areas and areas that are not directly exposed to risks but where measures can be foreseen to avoid exacerbating the risk.
Within the framework of this RPP, 5 zones are defined:
— a red zone (R): urbanised area exposed to severe or medium hazard for gravitary terrain movements*,
— a blue zone (B): little or no urbanised area exposed to a severe, medium or low hazard for gravitary terrain movements*,
— a yellow zone (J): low-level urbanised area for gravitary terrain movements* and a high degree of differential terrain movement
— a grey area (Gr): area subject to a very low to zero hazard of gravitary terrain movements*, and an average hazard of differential terrain movement, regardless of space occupancy,
— the cave sector
In each of these areas, prohibitions and authorisations are defined under conditions.
