For PPRTs, Article L515-16 et seq. of the Environmental Code provides that: ‘within the perimeter of exposure to risks, plans for the prevention of technological risks may, depending on the type of risk, their severity, their probability and their kinetics, draw up recommendations aimed at strengthening the protection of the population from the risks involved and relating to the development, use or operation of buildings, works, communication routes and campgrounds or caravan parking sites, which may be implemented by owners, operators and users’. These voluntary recommendations are intended to enhance the protection of the population from the risks involved.
