The Multi-Risk Prevention Plan of the Lower Orne Valley is approved by prefectural decree of 10 August 2021.
It repeals the RPP flooding of the Lower Orne Valley, approved on 10 July 2008.
It regulates urban planning in the light of the following natural risks:
• marine flooding (marine submersion, mechanical shocks) taking into account the consequences of climate change,
• flooding by river overflow,
• erosion,
• Dune migration.
It concerns the municipalities of: Amfreville, Ranville, Bénouville, Blainville-sur-Orne, Colombelles, Hérouville-Saint-Clair, Mondeville, Caen, Fleury-sur-Orne, Louvigny, Bretteville-sur-Odon, Eterville, Verson, Fontaine-Etoupefour, Saint-André-sur-Orne, Feuguerolles-Bully and May-sur-Orne, Lion-sur-Mer, Hermanville-sur-mer, Colleville-Montgomery, Ouistreham, Merville-Franceville-plage, Sallenelles.
The risk prevention plan is worth public utility.
