The hazard map is based on a synthesis of a series of studies based on a hydromorphological method based on observation of the footprints left in the field by past floods.
3 Hazard Zones were determined in view of the heights and water velocities:
— strong hazard zone corresponds mainly to areas of large flow with water heights greater than one metre or at high speeds greater than one metre per second
— medium hazard zone with water heights between 0.50 m and 1 m or flow velocities between 0.5 m/s and 1 m/s
— low hazard zone with water heights less than 0.50 m and flow velocities less than 0.50 m/s
