Rural Revitalisation Area 1996
Law No. 95-115 of 4 February 1995 and Decree No. 96-119 of 14 February 1996 delimiting the ZRRs.
The ZRRs are defined in accordance with Article 1465 A II of the General Tax Code.
* The ZRRs defined by Decree No. 96-119 include the municipalities belonging to the rural areas of priority development (TRDP) and located:
— in districts with a population density of less than or equal to 33 inhabitants/km²;
— or in cantons with a population density of less than or equal to 31 inhabitants/km².
These boroughs or cantons must also meet one of the following three criteria:
— the decline of the total population;
— the decline in the labour force;
— an agricultural labour force rate that is more than twice the national average.
The ZRRs also include municipalities located in cantons with a population density of less than or equal to 5 inhabitants per square kilometre.
The areas were established according to the 1990 GPR, which were not updated at the 1999 GPR.

They are based on the 1999 GPR.
— Areas built on 1996 data (date 01/01/2005), maintained in Georepertoire as an archive.
— The new areas defined by the decree of December 2005 will be the subject of a separate layer (under creation)
— Layer described in relation to the department, and to a mean scale reference. May also exist at regional and national level (management in this case by DGFAR), under other benchmarks.
