Dataset description

The purpose of the sound classification is to systematically inform building manufacturers so that new buildings built on the edge of land transport infrastructure are isolated according to their noise exposure to them. Noise classification is a prefectural decree classifying land transport infrastructure into five categories (from 1 to 5) according to the level of noise they generate, with category 1 being the noisest. A noise-affected sector is defined on both sides of each classified infrastructure. These sectors must be reported on the graphic documents of the urban planning document. Prefectural Decree 2015-DDT-830 of 1 September 2015 defines the list of infrastructures concerned in Vienna and their category.
