The Cistude d’Europe is a wild species of freshwater turtle, naturally found in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. In some territories, populations have also come from reintroduction programmes.
As part of a task entrusted by DREAL to merge and update, at the level of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the declination of the national action plan dedicated to this protected and threatened species, the conservatories of natural areas of the Allier and Savoie have compiled the data of occurrence of this species in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, made available to them.
In addition to the definition of a range of wild and reintroduced populations, the data available for download correspond to sites known to be or have been occupied by individuals of Cistude and outside the nuclei of populations. Within these different sites, the status of presence (isolated individuals or established populations) and the status of individuals (released?) need to be clarified. In addition, a dichotomy is presented based on the date of last sighting of individuals at these sites, prior to or after 2013.
