These resources represent the spatial representation of the discontinuities identified within the Upper Normandy regional green and blue frame. Five types of discontinuities have been identified according to their main characteristics:
‘Rural area’: discontinuities mainly characterised by grassland and agricultural areas
‘Barriers to flow’: reference Barriers Barriers to Sliding (ROE)
‘Road infrastructure’
‘Railway infrastructure’
‘Urban areas’: discontinuities mainly due to urbanised areas.
Only discontinuities between corridors close enough (about 600 m) are identified. By default, all areas that do not appear in reservoirs or corridors are areas where ecological continuity is interrupted at regional level (which does not necessarily prevent the presence of local continuity).
In the case of the aquatic subtrame, the aquatic discontinuities simply correspond to the obstacles to the flow of the ROE.
