Study of the consumption of agricultural areas in the Vosges department

As part of its reflection on the preservation of land, the Departmental Directorate of Territories (DDT) of Vosges conducted, in 2011, a study on the consumption of agricultural land. The realisation of this study was entrusted to Claudine VIBERT, 3 rd year student of the engineering course at the SUP AGRO Montpellier school, as part of her internship at the end of #x27; studies. __Origin__ L'study s'is articulated around three complementary approaches: 1- define the concept of agricultural land in a partnership way with the actors of the sector;' urban planning, of the #x27 rd; agriculture,... 2- measure the consumption of agricultural land by transposing methodologies already tested on d' other territories, or even by proposing new tools for the phenomenon; apprehension and measurement of the phenomenon, 3- report on the awareness of the phenomenon of consumption of these agricultural areas, through a series of interviews conducted on 3 municipalities of the department: Hadol, Uxegney and Vagney. Thus, the consumption of agricultural spaces has been defined as “the change of the use of l'' photosynthetic agricultural space (productive surfaces, and related natural elements, such as hedges, wasteland, groves, grazed heaths, estives or grazed wood...) for the benefit of the forest and artificialised spaces”.
