Class AS2 easements concern conservation easements of shellfish and aquaculture establishments and shellfish fields.
The easement introduced by Article 2 of the Decree-Law of 30 October 1935 on the protection of drinking water and oyster farms makes it possible to establish, around natural deposits and shellfish farms, a protection area within which any solid or liquid deposit and discharge is prohibited which may adversely affect the hygienic quality of shellfish products.
In the event that the agents responsible for the control of such deposits and establishments find a deposit or discharge which may constitute a danger to shellfish products, the prefect shall, at the operator’s expense, take all appropriate measures to stop any practice contrary to the safety of those deposits and establishments.
This resource describes the surface plates of grade AS2 easements, i.e. protection zones around shellfish establishments or natural shell deposits
