The AUDeG has published a cartographic atlas of the urban fabrics of Guyana (available for free download on its website from www.audeg.fr/ressources/zoom_ressource.asp?id=164&srub=3&ssrub=1). From the IGN land files, cadastre and bd topo (millesimes 2017), the AUDeG offers a reading of the urban frame, on an island-wide basis, according to a nomenclature at 2 levels and 16 differentiating positions:
— Agricultural fabric
— Fabric of activities
— Mixed fabric habitat/activities
— Tissue of habitat (individual loose, individual intermediate, individual dense, mixed/indeterminate, collective)
— Fabric of public facilities (cimetery, health, education, heritage/culture/religion, sport/law, public security, administration, other/undifferentiated)
— Uninformed.
There are some reservations about the use of these data as a result of base database bias. The inaccuracies found accounted for just over one-tenth of the parcels audited (12 %). They are, for a third party, attributable to the comic book topo (overbuilding, inaccuracy of the design of the building, error on the nature of the building or PAI poorly located). Another third party is linked to the method (threshold of 50 m² of built area or method of identification of equipment). The remaining third is due to cadastral information: land files and cadastre (overbuilding, type of dwelling space, type of activity room or property wrong or missing).
Note that map offsets between plots of the cadastre and frame of the Topo BD are also a source of error.
