Valuing, harmonising development, promoting projects and maintaining a balance between the different uses of the city centre, are the key words of the Backup and Development Plan (PSMV).
The revision of the PSMV and its extension to reach the limit of the historic ramparts is part of an urban, heritage and historical logic. A prefectural decree, which approved the revision and extension of the PSMV of the safeguarded sector, was issued on 25 July 2013.
The PSMV must both allow the evolution of the plateau, the transformation of its functions over time, its adaptation to new lifestyles and at the same time protect and enhance the rich built and natural heritage that lies there. A common platform-wide settlement for greater urban coherence, greater development and better protection has been put in place.
The work of revising the saved sector is based on an inventory of more than 4,000 buildings, work on the history of the building, its evolutions, its current state.
