Water bodies — France Entière — State of Places version 2019

A river water body is a distinct and significant part of surface waters such as a river, river or canal, part of a river, river or canal, constituting the elemental division of aquatic environments intended to be the WFD assessment unit. The criteria for the realisation of river water bodies are: — A body of water belongs to a single hydroecoregion; — The dominant fish settlement based on the fish context (Salmonicole, cyprinicole, Intermediate); — Size class (strahler confluence row). Correspondence report DCE: this entity corresponds to WISE’s Surface Water Body Line concept. The layers are distributed in a format consistent with the SANDRE data dictionary of the Water Mass Reference, version 1.4.
