Water bodies — Meeting — Report version 2010

A river water body is a distinct and significant part of surface waters such as a river, river or canal, part of a river, river or canal. The river body consists of elementary sections (in the same way as BDCarthage®). This element inherits the characteristics of the BDCarthage® elementary hydrographic section. The geometry of the theme Mass of water rivers is therefore the aggregation of the elementary sections that compose it. This operation is carried out using the code of the river body of water. The criteria for the realisation of river water bodies are: — A body of water belongs to a single hydroecoregion — The dominant fish stand based on the fish context (Salmonicole, cypriniculture, Intermediate) — Size class (strahler confluence range) The water body code is structured as follows: Water Body Type Code + Basin District Code DCE + Increment
