In France, the local plan d' urban planning (PLU) is the main document d' urban planning of the #x27th; urban planning at communal or possibly intercommunal level. It replaces the land use plan (POS) since the Act on Urban Solidarity and Renewal of 13 December 2000, known as Law SRU1.
The PLU is governed by the provisions of the code of urban planning, essentially Articles L. 123-1 et seq. and R. 123-1 et seq.
Small municipalities sometimes have a communal map.
