11st PROGRAMME: PRE-SUSPENDED MATIERES 1

Different zonings have been defined to guide the implementation of the Agency’s intervention policies during the period 2019-2024. Depending on the case, they correspond to: eligibility criteria, i.e. projects must be located in the defined area in order to be eligible for Agency aid or for an increase in the Agency’s aid rate; priority criteria, i.e. depending on the area in which the projects are located, they have priority or not in order to be awarded aid from the Agency, in case the cumulative amounts of the various applications exceed the available budgetary envelope. Suspended solids: In order to ensure that the sectors most affected by runoff from agricultural soil erosion are given priority to the Agency’s aid, zoning has been defined as: two main criteria: suspended solids and ammonium (based on measurements made in the watercourses of the Artois-Picardie Basin); two complementary criteria are the Utile Agricultural Surface and the presence of ripisylves. This zoning thus defines two priority levels: priority municipalities (P1) and non-priority municipalities (P2) to limit the most massive inputs of agricultural suspended matter into surface waters.
