60 years and over: income and financial assistance by department

This database by department mainly provides data on localised social and tax income and on the individual self-sufficiency allowance. This contains nearly 100 variables. This basis allows us to study the standard of living and the poverty inequalities of this population. It will also make it possible to see the ageing of the population by counting the number of persons using benefits and their amount, in order to enable them to stay at home or to help them pay part of the Ephad in which they reside. With data determining the degree of loss of autonomy of these persons (distributed into 6 groups called “IRM”) ranging from one still self-sufficient to a person at the end of life, it will be possible to study and compare the number of such persons per department and to see whether some departments are more affected by population ageing than others. The database also contains indicators projected to 2050 on the number of people, their average age and their life expectancy by high or low. Census data will also show the type of housing for people aged 60 and over.
