Analysis, Research and Accident Information

The [ARIA Base](https://www.aria.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/) (Analysis, Research and Information on Accidents), published by the Bureau for Industrial Risk and Pollution Analysis (BARPI), lists incidents or accidents that have or may have affected public health or safety or the environment. Aria has more than 53,000 accidents or incidents occurring in France or abroad. ### Access to the official base Article L312-1-1 of the Code of Relations between the Public and Administration (CRPA) stipulates that administrations are obliged to publish online “*data, regularly updated, whose publication is of economic, social, health or environmental interest*”. Article L300-4 of the CRPA adds that the data must be published “in an open standard, easily reusable and usable by an automated processing system*”. The BARPI provides a very slow search engine and offers a data export mode via the Cerbère service or a FranceConnect identification. However, export in CSV or PDF format is limited to 500 results. These restrictions do not allow automated processing from an open and easily reusable format. ### Description of the proposed game A work of artisan consolidation of the complete base is proposed here, not carried out by BARPI. In the absence of the complete publication of a database of these accidents, we propose a version of all the data corresponding to the results associated with the filter “*accidents*”, from the official search engine. The selected data model corresponds to the data model observed by downloading via Cerbere. Only data in French have been reported in this file. Two files are available for download, the content of which is identical: — a file **CSV**, encoding **UTF-8**, separator ** semicolon** (compressed via **zip**), — a **XLSX** file, for easy opening via Excel. ### Documentation The best documentation is available on the [official website](https://www.aria.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/) of the BARPI.
