The Prefectural Ordinance of Noise Classification defines the width of the areas affected by noise, according to the classification of the railway or road track.
The tracks are classified into 5 categories (1 being considered the loudest sum, and 5 the least noisy).
The sector affected by noise derives from this classification, within which constructibility rules apply.
The original representation of the noise classification and sectors affected by noise, provided by the department in charge of the theme, is based on the road theme of the BD-Carto. This version, although in conformity with the relevant regulations, could in some places suffer from lag for use on a parcel background in particular.
Therefore, a representation compatible with large-scale use has been generated, based on the road and rail themes of the BD-Topo V2.
