The operating centres (3 to 5 per departmental road agency to which they depend) are responsible for the maintenance and operation of the departmental roads located in their area of intervention. **Collection context** Since 2002, the Department of Calvados has operated a Geographic Information System (GIS) with a road component and regularly produces data that is spatialised in the Road Geographic Information System (SIGR), as part of the monitoring of its management, maintenance and development policy. **Collection method** The Department of Calvados, with the support of its technical services, defines the areas of intervention of the road operating centres.
