Areas to be renatured inland waterways SRCE-TVB

The spaces to be renatured “fluvial”, by definition, are by default streams or sections of watercourses of strahler rank greater than 2 completed by the river corridors identified in the 2006 SRTVB, which are not identified as biodiversity reservoirs or river corridors in the SRCE-TVB. These are spaces with physico-chemical or hydromorphological qualities that are insufficient to ensure the transit or sustainability of species inferno to watercourses in a satisfactory manner. These are mostly rivers with chronic pollution problems and/or uniformisation and trivialisation of habitas caused by thresholds, dams, mineralised banks and excessive meander rectifications.
