Base of cultural places and facilities (Basil)

This geocoded base of cultural places and facilities is designed and administered by the Department of Studies, Foresight, Statistics and Documentation of the Ministry of Culture. In particular, it supplies the permanent base of INSEE equipment and the Regional Atlas of Culture. It is carried out by aggregation of different sources: basics of the Directorate-General for Heritage and Architecture, the Directorate-General for Artistic Creation, the Directorate-General for Media and Cultural Industries, the General Delegation to Transmission, Territories and Cultural Democracy, the National Centre for Cinema and Animated Image, the National Book Centre, the National Centre for Circus, Street and Theatre Arts (Artcena), the Media Library of Architecture and Heritage. It covers the field of the whole of France. Despite the work of checking, cleaning and certifying the bases, there may still be some errors (doubling or addressing errors) and forgotten, given the number of entries.
