Cantons in the communes of Rennes Métropole

It is a layer originally created by the General Council of Ille-et-Vilaine following Decree No. 2014-177 of 18 February 2014 delimiting the cantons in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine. These perimeters will be applicable since the 2015 cantonal elections. On the territory of Rennes Métropole, for internal problems of matching the reference data sets (often more precise), the geometries of these cantons have been backed by the polygons of the layer of the municipal boundaries referential of Rennes Métropole. This recaling was carried out according to a strict reading of the decree. The cantonal boundaries on Rennes Métropole may therefore be different from the original layer of the Ille-et-Vilaine General Council. In addition, the cantonal perimeters on Rennes Métropole have been cut by commune to form pseudo-cantons. To reconstruct the perimeters of the cantons, use the layer of the cantons of Ille-et-Vilaine (metadata uuid = 5e05c5f1-3690-4177-9210-661c9fa641bb). It should be noted that the perimeters of the cantons on the territory of Rennes Métropole have been modified following the taking into account of the Parcellar Representation Cadastrale Unique (RPCU).
