Version: carbon® base v19.0. See follow-up of changes made by v19.0
The Carbon Base® is a public database of emission factors, necessary to achieve a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions balance and more generally any carbon accounting exercise.
It is the reference database of Article 75 of the Grenelle II Act, relating to the obligation to carry out a GHG balance sheet for companies with more than 500 employees, public establishments with more than 250 agents and communities with more than 50,000 inhabitants.
Administered by ADEME, its governance is multi-stakeholder: 14 members make up it such as the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition (MTES), the Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF), the Climate Action Network (RAC), the Association of Professionals in Climate Council (APCC), etc. Its enrichment is open to all through the possibility of external contributions.
The data presented here are updated daily from Base Carbon® data.
Find the complete description of the Base in the “Carbon Base” section of the GHG Balance Sheets website, as well as all its documentation explaining the scope and sources of the data proposed to ensure a robust use of the data.
