The catchment feeding area (ACA) is defined on hydrological or hydrogeological bases. It corresponds to the surfaces on which the water infiltrating or runoff participates in the supply of water from which the water is taken.
Thus, the AAFC corresponds to:
— for a sampling work intended for drinking water in surface water: to the sub-watershed located upstream of the water intake(s) possibly supplemented by the area concerned by the water supply; groundwater external to this watershed (e.g. base table or tablecloth d' accompaniment of water courses),
— for a sampling work intended for groundwater drinking water: at the feeding basin of the point(s) d' water (place of points on the surface of the soil that contribute to the feeding of the catchment). The concepts of “feeding area” and “feed pool” of catchments (AAFC, LAC) are considered synonymous here.
In the case of several catches of water (surface water) or points d' water (ground water) close to each other, l'AAC will concern all the sockets/points d' water of the #x27; sampling structure to which these are connected. L 'AAC may concern several sample works.
L'AAC n' has no founding regulatory text. The regulations refer to its area of protection.
Note: Only VACs, verified by the referents and Sandre, are considered validated and therefore disseminated on this website. These controls are currently ongoing; the AAFC repository is therefore incomplete. This is why, the metadata sheet has status " currently being created.
